Small format cameras? - nikon medium format cameras solid bracket

Hello!
What a small format camera? This type of camera uses 35-mm film? I'm confused. I do not understand the difference between small-and medium-format cameras ... How can you explain that?

This camera is what? http://evolvingbeauty.com/images/uploads/nikon_f3.jpg

Small cameras are up to 35mm format, which has a negative measure 24x36mm. For digital cameras with sensors of this size are known as full-frame cameras. Most digital cameras have sensors in the APS-C format, which is slightly less than 16x24mm. The Board asked for a Nikon F1. This is a 35mm camera and then attached a small camera. A good, though.

Medium format cameras are negative (and digital sensors) is typically 6x6cm, or sometimes 4.5x6cm. The new LEICA S2, however, is a digital camera with a 30x45mm sensor, fits in the size of 35 mm and a half. Leica, however, require that a medium format camera.

Cameras have a negative 4x5 inches or more in size. The films, however, comes in single sheets, not rolls.

Medium format cameras are the kind of film, shot over 135 films and less than 4 "x6" plate. And beyond that is considered large.

I guess about 135 and below can be considered small, but not really with that terminology. This is a classic Nikon F3, a brilliant camra today.
